"Theater Historiography: Critical Interventions," co-edited by Henry Bial.

CRITICAL THEATRE: Henry Bial, associate professor of theatre, edited the new book “Theater Historiography: Critical Interventions,” a collection of essays just published by the University of Michigan Press. Scott Magelssen, associate professor of theatre and film at Bowling Green State University, co-edited the book. “Theater Historiography” includes original essays from 23 leading theatre historians, including Mechele Leon, associate professor of theatre, and former KU faculty member Patricia Ybarra, who now teaches at Brown University. The collection probes key methodological questions about how theater history should be practiced, addressing such topics as interdisciplinarity, postcolonialism, the archive and digital technology. The book is available at Jayhawk Ink in the Kansas Union.
