Harry G. Shaffer

Harry G. Shaffer, 90, of Lawrence, died Nov. 3. He was an emeritus professor of economics and taught at the university for 52 years. Survivors include his wife, three sons, a daughter, a stepson, a stepdaughter and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be given to a human or civil rights organization of the donor’s choice.

Barbara J. Puckett

Barbara J. Puckett, 64, died Nov. 3. She worked for the Department of Film and Theatre. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, a son, two grandchildren and a brother. Memorials are suggested to KU Endowment for a musical theatre scholarship, sent in care of the funeral home, Neill-Schwensen-Rook.

Montana Bennett Huslig

Montana Bennett Huslig, 58, died Oct. 23. She was an administrative assistant in the Department of Germanic languages and literatures. She is survived by her husband, Michael; a daughter; son, mother; and sister. Memorials are suggested to the Lawrence Public Library or the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.

Pete Dominique Nance

Pete Dominique Nance, 22, died Nov. 11. He worked for KU Dining Services. He is survived by a daughter, his mother, his father, four brothers, two grandmothers and a sister. The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
