Charles E. Stevenson
Charles E. Stevenson, 90, died April 21. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the KU Medical Center in 1965 and remained on the faculty there until 1980. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; four children; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Village Presbyterian Church of Kansas City Hospice House.
Alan B. Cunningham
Alan B. Cunningham, 72, died April 28. He taught Italian at KU. Survivors include two daughters, one son, two brothers and three grandchildren. Online condolences may be left at www.amosfamily.com.
Ivan D. Goldberg
Ivan D. Goldberg, 75, died April 29. He was an associate professor in the department of microbiology at the KU Medical Center from 1971 to 1977. In 1977 he was appointed a full professor and continued there until his retirement in 2000. Survivors include his wife, Noveta; three children and several grandchildren and other relatives. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Odyssey Hospice, Kansas City, Mo.
Valorie Marie Blasingame
Valorie Marie Blasingame, 56, died April 16. She worked as a custodian for KU and also for a local bank. Survivors include a son; three daughters; two sisters; and 10 grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Operation Wildlife, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Marjory (Marji) Brohammer
Marjory (Marji) Brohammer, 55, died April 22. She worked at the Applied English Center and the KU police department while completing advanced studies in the mid-70s. She is survived by her mother, Marie Brohammer; husband, Michael Briggs; five sisters, three nieces and two nephews. The family suggests memorials to the White Memorial Camp in Council Grove sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory, P.O. Box 1260, Lawrence, KS 66044.
Marvin E. Flory
Marvin E. Flory, 85, died April 18. He was a plumber at KU. Survivors include a daughter, four sons, two brothers, 18 grandchildren and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Loretta Komma
Loretta Komma, 68, died April 23. She worked at the ROTC program KU. Survivors include her husband, Leroy; and a son. The family suggests memorials to Corpus Christi Church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
