Systematic entomologist

Responsibilities include serving as museum curator in the Division of Entomology; having an active, specimen-based research program; having an active role in development and curatation of the insect collection; teaching courses; and supervising undergraduate and graduate research. Research associate

Public policy and business research. Application deadline Feb. 20. Appointment runs March 1, 1998, to June 30, 1999, at 50 percent time. Salary $36,000 to $45,000 at 100 percent time. Responsibilities include construction and implementation of mathematical economic models, data collection, statistical analysis and other economic research as assigned. Requirements include master's degree or equivalent in economics, business or related field and experience in applied microeconomics or regional science research. Preferred requirements include training as a professional economist and experience in SAS programming and policy analysis. Responsibilities include performing research activities and grant development related to business development and local and state policies and programs, and extensive interaction with public officials. Requirements include a master's degree, excellent communication skills, proven research competence and experience with computers and software. Preferred requirements include master's degree in business or economics as well as experience with evaluation of state programs, legislative initiatives or changes and other policy issues as they relate to and affect economic development.
