The University Theatre Series is presenting Die Fledermaus, a comic operetta based on a farce by Meilhac and Halevy with music by Johann Strauss at 8 p.m. Feb. 6, 7 and 8 in the Crafton-Preyer Theatre, Murphy Hall. Tickets are $8 for students with KUID, $16 for the public and $15 for senior citizens and K-12 students and may be purchased at the KU box offices.

The Feb. 7 performance will be interpreted in sign language.

The Imagination Workshop, KANU radio's comedy show, will reprise some of its "greatest bits" at 5 and 8 p.m. Feb. 7 at Liberty Hall. The 8 p.m. performance will be broadcast live on KANU. The satirical performance will include classic episodes of "Buck Naked: Frontier Scout," "The Legion of Stupid Heroes" and "Barbie and Ken at Home," along with topical take-offs, commercial spoofs and satirical songs.

Tickets are $10 for main-floor cabaret seating and $7 for balcony seats. Tickets are on sale at Liberty Hall, 749-1972.

Student Union Activities and Student Senate will present "An Evening with Al Franken" at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Lied Center. Franken was a member of the original 1975 Saturday Night Live writing staff when he won five Emmys for writing and production. After briefly leaving the show, he returned and created the popular character Stuart Smalley.

Admission is free with a voucher. Vouchers to see Franken at the Lied Center will be available to students with KUID cards Feb. 9 at the SUA box office, Kansas Union. Vouchers will be available to the general public Feb. 10 at the box office. For information, call 864-SHOW.
