TAXING KATRINA: A group of graduate students at the School of Business has created a Web site to help taxpayers sort through the changes in tax law due to Hurricane Katrina. Following the hurricane and the tax laws that were passed soon after, Raquel Alexander, assistant professor in tax, prompted a group of masters students to analyze the new Katrina tax law. The students dissected it piece by piece with the goal of creating a Web site that would break down the new provisions into an easy and readable format.
