The film, which takes a look at what America might be like if the South had won the Civil War, recently premiered in New York. It is playing in cities across the United States.

A group of students watch and prepare for a landing of a remote control helicopter at the Engineering Expo Feb. 25. The expo brought students from area schools to experience the fun of engineering, while KU students displayed numerous projects they are undertaking. KU electrical engineering alumnus Sam Gilliland, CEO of Sabre Holdings, a travel company and parent company of Travelocity, was the keynote speaker.

"Panel With Cranes and Iris," shown above, is a silk, gold-wrapped thread embroidery on damask ground. It is part of the exhibit "Flowers, Dragons and Pine Trees" of Asian textiles, which is on display at the museum until May 28

About 20 legislators attended a dinner for legislators who are alumni or have children attending KU. The dinner was part of an outreach program by the Office of Government Relations.
