Current title: Lied Center technical director.

What that means: Wendel is responsible for all technical backstage needs for more than 200 Lied Center users each year. He coordinates scheduling and equipment needs for all of the 30-plus Lied Center Series events, working with a broad range of performing arts events, from orchestral and chamber music performances to operas, major Broadway shows and dance productions. He also coordinates technical arrangements for some 40 events sponsored by the Department of Music and Dance each year and for events offered by on- and off-campus users.

Notable: Fred Pawlicki, associate director of the Lied Center, said Wendel is one of the best technical directors in the nation and notes that he formerly served as technical director for several other presenting programs, including the Cerritos Center in Orange County, California, one of the top venues in the country.

Current title: Administrative specialist, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Word Processing Center.

What that means: Le Row's job is to assist faculty in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication. She scans or types texts, scans graphics and uses Adobe Photoshop to prepare them for publication. She also acts as a resource person, helping faculty and staff with the programs they use. She also is responsible for three scholarly journals and several departmental newsletters.

Notable: Each year, Le Row works with more than 20 students who have studied in England to prepare the London Review. In a two-week period, she lays out the photographs, graphics and text. For one 65-page issue of the review, she incorporated 227 graphics.
