Higuchi award nominations due Dec. 9

Nominations are now being taken for Higuchi Endowment Association research achievement awards.

Nominations containing the information described below should be submitted by Dec. 9 to: Higuchi-Endowment Association Research Achievement Award, c/o Meredith Porter, Office of the Vice Provost for Research, Youngberg Hall 2385 Irving Hill Road, Lawrence, KS 66045-7563 For further information, call 864-3302.

Nominations must include the following information: A one-page letter of recommendation outlining the accomplishments of the nominee based on the criteria. This letter should detail the nominee's seminal contribution to his or her field. Make sure that the letter of nomination uses language that will be understandable to individuals outside the nominee's field; a current, complete curriculum vitae that includes publications, awards and the names and contact information of four references who are qualified to comment on the nominee's achievements. A brief description of each reference's qualifications should be included. Suggested references should not have any close personal relationship to the nominee and should not be associated with any Kansas Regents institution.
