Moving day nears for departments
Business, economics among those in line as space opens on campus
Several schools and departments will be packing to move in 2006 as
space becomes available when the Office of Public Safety and collections
from the Biodiversity Research Center move into the former Printing
Services building.
Don Steeples, vice provost for scholarly support, said the School
of Business, Department of Economics and Center for Indigenous Nations
Studies
all will relocate and expand as areas open in buildings across campus.
Economics, housed in Summerfield Hall, will move to Snow Hall, Steeples
said. Several offiices in the school of Business will vacate Suite
118 in Summerfield Hall and expand into areas vacated by economics.
Indigenous
nations studies will take over Suite 118.
Steeples said additional space will become available. More information
is available online in the Space Allocation Policies and Procedures
manual, available at www.provost.ku.edu/policy/space_policy_manual/space_policy_manual_073004.pdf.
