Education summit to focus on quality,
performance
The university will hold its annual teaching summit Tuesday, Aug. 16,
in Budig and Wescoe halls.
The theme will be “I Know It When I See It: Detecting Quality.” The
opening session, at 8:30 a.m. in 130 Budig, will include a panel discussion
on performance goals, collaborative targets and preparedness for graduate
study.
Other highlights:

Sessions on teaching issues and innovations focused on solutions and
practical applications.
•Breakouts on new technologies for teaching, including ways to engage students
out of class.
•
Special sessions for new faculty members.
