United Way drive nearly reaches goal
The United Way of Douglas County has announced that KU contributions
for 2004 totaled $219,490.80
The total was nearly 96 percent of its goal, which was to surpass last
year’s
total of $229,149.24. A total of 661 people at KU contributed to this year’s
effort. In 2003, 679 individuals contributed.
“
Once again the KU community has demonstrated its generosity,” said Diana
Carlin, dean of the graduate school and international programs and chair of
this year’s campaign. “I am proud to work among people who support
Lawrence and Douglas County programs year after year.”
Fund raising began in August. For more information visit www.ur.ku.edu/unitedway.
