Internet interest: Lynn Nelson, retired professor of medieval history,
is among a number of Kansans who are being interviewed at George Mason
University to determine what sparked the production of online materials
in Kansas. In the late 1980s, Nelson began exploring ways to offer books
and documents to the public through computers. In Kansas and at KU, Nelson
was a proponent of exploring what the Internet might provide for the
future. Nelson has volunteered on various Web projects and sees the Internet
as a form of public service. For more information, visit www.racine.ra.it/oriani/memoriaericerca/nelson-online.htm#nota-storica-Lynn-Nelson.
