FUND-RAISER DONATIONS: Kansas Audio-Reader Network, a radio reading and
information service for blind and visually impaired persons, is seeking
donations for “For Your Ears Only,” its annual fund-raiser
Sept. 23 and 24 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Gently used albums,
CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs and stereos will be available, as
well as new handcrafted earrings.
Donations may be taken to the Baehr Audio-Reader Center, 1120 W. 11th
St.; or call 864-4600 to arrange pickup of donated goods. For more

VOLUNTEER FAMILIES: The Lawrence Friendship Family Program is seeking
local families and individuals who would like to befriend a KU international
student. The program is coordinated through the Office of International
Student and Scholar Services. If you are interested in participating
