Bluegrass to beats

A KU student looks at a painting by KU Professor Roger Shimomura at the Spencer Museum of Art’s “Bluegrass to Beats.” The party Sept. 9 featured bluegrass and dance music and was held in conjunction with the exhibition “Windmills to Workshops: Lawrence and the Visual Arts,” which is on display at the museum through Sept. 26. The exhibition highlights artworks documenting sites, individuals and events related to the city. Aaron Paden/University Relations
