Fellowship family

Since joining the faculty in 1968, Andrew P. Debicki has served as university distinguished professor of Spanish and Portuguese, director of the Hall Center for the Humanities and dean of the Graduate School. Debicki and his wife, Mary-Elizabeth, former director of the Office of Study Abroad, have helped the university in many ways through their private gifts. The couple established the Mary-Elizabeth and Andrew P. Debicki Graduate Fellowship, which provides supplemental income for graduate students. Their gift counts toward KU First: Invest in Excellence.
