Liberal library

Liberal High School Library patron John Smith, Chancellor Robert Hemenway, Kim Stafford and poet B.H. “Pete” Fairchild share a laugh after a ceremony Oct. 16 to rename the library after poets Fairchild and the late William Stafford. Both poets spent their boyhoods in Liberal, graduated from the high school and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from KU.
