Lobbying lesson:

Burdett Loomis, professor and chair of political science, has become a nationally renowned source for information about American politics, Congress, interest groups and state legislatures.
In November, Loomis was featured in Influence magazine, a trade journal for the lobbying industry. Author T.R. Goldman listed Loomis among four “academic experts, people who actually know lobbyists and appear to understand what they do on a practical, not just theoretical, level.”
Goldman mentioned Loomis’ recent publication of two papers on the business of lobbying and quoted Loomis extensively about how and why the lobbying industry has grown exponentially during the past 20 years.
