Audus named dean
After
conducting a national search, KU selected Kenneth L. Audus as the new
dean of the School of Pharmacy. Audus, currently chair of the pharmaceutical
chemistry department, will succeed Jack Fincham April 19.
Audus has a 20-year relationship with the School of Pharmacy. After graduating
from the University of South Dakota in 1980, Audus earned his doctorate
in pharmacology from the KU Medical Center in 1984. He completed postdoctoral
work in pharmaceutical chemistry at KU in 1986 and held various teaching
positions before becoming department chair in 1998.
Fincham will be the Albert W. Jowdy professor of pharmacy care at the
University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens.
