Audus named dean

After conducting a national search, KU selected Kenneth L. Audus as the new dean of the School of Pharmacy. Audus, currently chair of the pharmaceutical chemistry department, will succeed Jack Fincham April 19.

Audus has a 20-year relationship with the School of Pharmacy. After graduating from the University of South Dakota in 1980, Audus earned his doctorate in pharmacology from the KU Medical Center in 1984. He completed postdoctoral work in pharmaceutical chemistry at KU in 1986 and held various teaching positions before becoming department chair in 1998.

Fincham will be the Albert W. Jowdy professor of pharmacy care at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens.
