Surprise patrol!

Chancellor Robert Hemenway marked the start of classes Thursday by leading a “Surprise Patrol” that presented $5,000 checks to unsuspecting top teachers at KU.


Twenty KU faculty members at the Lawrence, Edwards and Kansas City campuses will receive W.T. Kemper Fellowships for Teaching Excellence, which recognize outstanding teaching and advising.
