Annual book contest schedules program

The KU Libraries’ 48th annual Snyder Book Collecting Contest program and reception will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Oread Books, Level 2 in the Kansas Union.


The campus and public are invited to attend.


Organized by the University Libraries and Oread Books, the contest features $2,800 in total prizes for student entrants in undergraduate and graduate divisions.


Contest winners receive a cash prize, as well as a gift certificate from Oread Books.


The contest is supported by a KU Endowment Association fund established by Elizabeth Morrison Snyder of Kansas City, Mo.
The purpose of the contest is to cultivate student interest in book collecting. Contest finalists’ collections will be on display during the program.


Winning collections will be on exhibit in the Oread Books display cases until the end of the semester.
