Student Success names associate vice provosts

Richard C. Morrell and Kathryn Nemeth Tuttle both have been promoted to associate vice provost for Student Success.

Morrell and Nemeth Tuttle join Marlesa A. Roney, vice provost for student success, Richard A. Johnson, associate vice provost and dean of students, and Barbara Ballard, associate vice provost, to form the senior leadership team guiding KU’s Office of Student

Success.

Linda Mullens has been named senior budget and personnel administrator and will manage budget and personnel matters related to student success, which comprises almost 600 employees.

Cindy Derritt will act as interim registrar until a permanent successor can be found. Tammara Durham will be interim director of the Freshman-Sophomore Advising Center.

KUSM-Wichita appoints new associate dean for research

Amanda L. Golbeck, former vice president for academic affairs with the Kansas Board of Regents, has joined the KU School of Medicine-Wichita as associate dean for research. Golbeck is responsible for overseeing the financial and personnel management of the Office of Research.

Networking and telecommunications names assistant director

Ron Hetrick has been named assistant director of networking and telecommunications services. In his new role, Hetrick will manage technology systems development and related support services.
