The Research and Training Center on Independent Living, part of KU’s Life Span Institute, maintains a searchable database to rapidly disseminate independent living research information. The site contains close to 1,500 research reviews on such topics as housing, advocacy, benefits, employment, self-determination, family support, parenting, rehabilitation and quality of life. Each review is written for nonresearchers in a language and format that is easy to understand. The site also includes more expansive research briefs, links to independent living sites and multiple independent living intervention products, including those to help researchers write for the general public.
