Simulcast offers stadium alternative

KU’s commencement ceremony will be at Memorial Stadium on May 18.
It will begin with an afternoon procession of faculty, graduates and dignitaries beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Memorial Drive, down Mount Oread and into the stadium. The ceremony should conclude by 4:15 p.m.
This year’s ceremony will be simulcast on a large screen in Woodruff Auditorium at the Kansas Union. An accessible entrance will be available on Jayhawk Boulevard.
The simulcast is specifically for people for whom the physical conditions in Memorial Stadium would prevent their attendance.
If it is raining the morning of commencement, an announcement will be made at 1 p.m. about arrangements for a postponed ceremony.
The announcement will be made through the KU Info Center (864-3506) and area radio stations, including KJHK 90.7-FM, KANU 91.5-FM, KLWN 1320-AM, as well as Sunflower Cablevision.

For additional information about commencement, visit www.commencement.ku.edu.
