KU fans may want to grab their binoculars to do some digital bird watching at a new Web site featuring Jayhawks on Parade. The site features 360-degree photographs and detailed information about 30 fiberglass birds that have come to roost across campus and the city of Lawrence through October. Visitors to the Web site will find descriptions of each Jayhawk, the artist’s biography, and a map to the bird’s location.
Some of the birds offer the opportunity to “fly around the hawk” using the QuickTime program. The Web site was developed by the KU Office of University Relations with assistance from the KU Alumni Association. For additional information, the Lawrence Convention and Visitors Bureau has established a Web site at www.jayhawksonparade.com. The bureau also can be reached at (785) 865-4411.
