Leonard Krishtalka, director of KU’s Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center, shows a map that KU researchers recently used to predict and monitor the spread of the West Nile Virus. Researchers will use the same technology to develop a Bio-Threat Initiative with $3.5 million from the U.S. Department of Defense. Aaron Paden/University Relations
