University Senate, by a vote of 248 to 228, has approved amendments to Article II of its rules that will permit some students to cancel D or F grades by successfully repeating the course. The amendments go to KU administration for approval. An earlier version of the proposed changes was rejected by the administration last year. The new proposal restricts eligibility to students who have not yet completed 60 hours of college credit, or who are in their first semester at the university. It also provides that students may not cancel low grades assigned for academic misconduct. |

The Office of University Relations will be moving into its new home in the remodeled Wesley Building, the former home of Hilltop Child Development Center, immediately after Memorial Day. The move will take place May 29 through June 5. During this time, some of University Relations services will be temporarily disrupted. All phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same. University Relations has been in its present location, the one-time University High School building, since 1972. |
