Dinner to honor retirees


KU will honor 41 unclassified staff and faculty who are retiring this academic year. Chancellor Robert Hemenway and Provost David Shulenburger will host a dinner at 6:30 p.m. May 23 in the Kansas Union ballroom.

The Retirees’ Club will host a reception for the new retirees prior to the dinner. Retirees will be guests of the chancellor; tickets for other guests cost $15. For reservations, send a check payable to the KU Endowment Association to Bev Mater, 230 Strong Hall. Reservations should be made by May 15.

The chancellor’s office and the association sponsor the event through the generosity of the late Walter Bohnstengel, a 1910 KU graduate. Honorees, their years of service and departments are:
