The KU Continuing Education site will undergo changes in the next few months to make it more interactive.

Since 1997, the KU Continuing Education Web site has been a source of information on everything from fire service training to independent study.

During the next two to three months, the site will undergo a facelift, said Webmaster Steve Kinder. The site will use a different user interface to make it more dynamic and interactive.

Currently the site is geared toward professionals who need to take classes to keep certifications current. It also lists short, night and independent study classes.

Kinder said the site is a straightforward informational tool but people can use it to enroll as well.

“The site is a backup to our direct-mail marketing,” Kinder said. “People get the brochures through the mail and then go online to register.”

The site is organized so people can find information quickly, said Kinder. Contents include a list of featured programs, a list of upcoming programs and an online newsletter.
