Open enrollment information on the way

KU employees can benefit from watching their mail in the coming weeks. Open enrollment for 2001 health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts and medical, dental and vision health insurance coverage will occur in October.

Employees who want to change health, dental or vision insurance coverage must participate in the Web open enrollment.

Cigna and Kaiser health plans and Protective Dental coverage will not be available in 2001. Employees in those plans must participate in Web open enrollment.
Individuals who want to participate in the flexible spending accounts for health or dependent care must register during open enrollment for coverage the following calendar year.

Benefits-eligible faculty and staff will participate in open enrollment via the Internet. Browsers must be Navigator 4.74 or Explorer 5.5 versions; other versions may be used as long as they support 128-bit encryption. Contact your local network administrator with questions about browser versions.

Beginning Sept. 10, the Division of Personnel Services in Topeka will send information to the home addresses for benefits-eligible faculty and staff about Web open enrollment, including an individual password that is required to access the Internet site.

A preview version of the site is available at http://da.state.ks.us/aksess.
