- The 2000 employee-of-the-year awards were awarded Monday,
April 24, to custodial supervisor Beverly Herrman and associate
general counsel Rose Marino.
This year's employee recognition ceremony marked the program's
26th anniversary. Employees of the year were selected from among
this year's employee-of-the-month-award recipients.
Each winner receives $1,000, a trophy, a reserved parking place
and a blue-zone parking permit with an entrance pass.
Herrman, classified employee of the year, has been employed in
facilities operations housekeeping for more than 10 years and
is housekeeping supervisor for Murphy Hall with duties in several
other buildings.
Marino, unclassified non-teaching employee of the year, has been
associate general counsel in the office of the university general
counsel since 1981. She provides legal advice and guidance on
a broad range of issues affecting the university.
