The 2000 employee-of-the-year awards were awarded Monday, April 24, to custodial supervisor Beverly Herrman and associate general counsel Rose Marino.
This year's employee recognition ceremony marked the program's 26th anniversary. Employees of the year were selected from among this year's employee-of-the-month-award recipients.

Each winner receives $1,000, a trophy, a reserved parking place and a blue-zone parking permit with an entrance pass.

Herrman, classified employee of the year, has been employed in facilities operations housekeeping for more than 10 years and is housekeeping supervisor for Murphy Hall with duties in several other buildings.

Marino, unclassified non-teaching employee of the year, has been associate general counsel in the office of the university general counsel since 1981. She provides legal advice and guidance on a broad range of issues affecting the university.
