WORLD CLASS GEOLOGIST
In his new book, "Raymond Cecil Moore: Legendary Scholar and Scientist World-Class Geologist and Paleontologist,"
Dan Merriam, senior scientist emeritus at the Kansas Geological Survey, explores the life and work of a legendary KU personality. Merriam writes that Moore (1892-1974) likely could have had a successful career as a lawyer, evangelist, commercial artist, musician, translator, executive, historian or explorer, but instead chose geology and left a lasting impression on KU and Kansas.
