WEB WORKS
KUTUBE: KU has launched its own YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/ku. The site features a wide variety of videos dealing with all things KU -- academics, research, service, tradition and athletics. There is even a clip of Big Jay and Baby Jay strutting their stuff in a photo shoot fitting of the world's foremost supermodels. For more on the channel, or to submit a KU video of your own, contact Jack Martin, deputy director of University Communications, at jackm@ku.edu.
RESEARCH MATTERS:
Jude Kastens, research assistant professor with the Kansas Applied Remote Sensing Program, draws on his Kansas agricultural background while helping produce the GreenReport. This bi-weekly map series measures crop conditions and growth, and provides farmers information to help guide their operations. "Farmers have to rely on a lot of information. Producers can use the information we provide to give them a better feel for what the overall crop will be like, and hopefully that will help them to make better marketing decisions," Kastens said.
