Paul Schumaker, professor of political science, takes a unique look at political theories of the past 200 years in his new book "From Ideologies to Public Philosophies: An Introduction to Political Theory." Schumaker begins with an overview of the extreme left, extreme right and philosophies in between and analyzes how the different views affect how people think a "good" governmental system should work.

KU HISTORY: They're millions of years old, but they've been at KU for just over a decade. On Aug. 22, 1997, two 150-million-year-old camarasaur fossils arrived at KU on a flatbed truck.
