Edwards Campus Web site

EDWARDS ONLINE UPDATE:

The next time users open their browsers to the Edwards Campus Web site, they'll find a new user experience. The campus' new homepage maintains distinctiveness, but the internal pages were converted to KU's standardized Web template. New features on the homepage include an Edwards A to Z, a new section titled 'Serving the Community,' which allows the campus to highlight its community outreach activities, more prominent information for prospective students, a new section titled 'Edwards Campus Spotlight,' which gives additional attention to an event, campaign, emergency message and bold usage of KU colors and the Jayhawk. A team of Edwards Campus staff worked with academic computer services and Web communications staff to complete the project.

TOPONYMS:

Dedicated April 2, 1946, Danforth Chapel was designed in a Gothic Revival style by alumnus Edward W. Tanner and built in part by German masons who were prisoners of war at a camp near Lawrence. An addition completed in fall 2007 includes a bridal party dressing room. KU's is one of 24 Danforth chapels financed largely by William H. Danforth, chair of the Ralston Purina Co. of St. Louis.
