Brian Donovan, professor of sociology, went viral in announcing his receipt of tenure. Donovan compiled a video titled "Elements of Vanity: An Announcement" and posted it on YouTube. The video features a jaunty tune and archival footage of people dancing for joy, Donovan on skates, former basketball player Wayne Simien thanking him in a senior-night speech and other general goofiness.
