A DESIGN FOR BETTER SERVICE: Keith Diaz Moore, associate professor and chair of architecture, has co-authored a book encouraging better design of centers for adult and dementia day care. "Designing a Better Day: Guidelines for Adult and Dementia Day Services Centers" was published last year and recently won the 2007 Joel Polsky Prize given by the American Society of Interior Design educational foundation.
KU IQ
For the 30th consecutive year, KU had a strong presence at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. Reno County, where Hutchinson is located, also has a strong presence at KU. In fall 2006, 269 students from the county were enrolled across all KU campuses. For a list of KU’s volunteers, see page 7.
