BUILDING BONES EARLY

Kim Templeton, associate professor of orthopedic surgery, is quoted in a recent Better Homes and Gardens story about getting and keeping strong bones. Templeton says that with good habits, people can build bone mass by as much as 20 percent from adolescence to about the age of 30.

DINING INNOVATION

KU Dining Services is featured in the most recent newsletter of the National Association of College and University Food Services. The unit was featured for its cooperative effort with the Community Mercantile to bring local and organic products to campus.

DOWNLOADS AND DECLINE

Koleman Strumpf, professor of business, and his paper detailing file sharing and its perceived effect on album sales are featured in a recent issue of The Atlantic. Strumpf’s paper argues that many factors have contributed to declining album sales and that downloads are not solely to blame.
