Student Health Services offering flu shots for faculty, staff, retirees

Student Health Services is offering flu shots to faculty, staff, retirees and students 18 and older. Shots are available for $15 and a nasal mist flu vaccine is available for individuals ages 9 to 49 for $23.

Experts claim the best way to avoid getting the flu is to get the vaccine a few weeks before peak flu season arrives. A series of clinics is scheduled through Nov. 20 to offer the vaccine. Those who cannot make it to a clinic can get a shot or the nasal mist at Watkins Memorial Health Center. Call 864-9507 to make an appointment.
