DATABASE OF DIALECTS

A Minneapolis Star Tribune article this spring mentioned Paul Meier, professor of theatre and film, and a database of regional dialects he has developed. The database, web.ku.edu/ idea, is included in the article about online quizzes and resources to determine how a person's dialect and pronunciation can pinpoint a person's origins.
