THE ROOF IS NOT ON FIRE: KU has a University Fire Marshal Authority, which sets policies to reduce risk of fire for faculty, staff and students and works to protect the campus. The authority's policies, code requirements and testing standards, along with fire safety tips, a safety handbook and fire facts are all available on the Web site.

Tim Jankovich was recently named head basketball coach at Illinois State University after four years at KU. He joins a long list of former KU assistants are now head coaches, including Bill Self, who was an assistant at KU in 1986.
