ESSENTIAL PATHOLOGY: Ossama Tawfik, Fang Fan and Ivan Damjinov, members of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the KU Medical Center, have published Gynecologic Pathology: An Atlas of Essential Pathology for Gynecologists. The book is a comprehensive introduction to gynecologic pathology for practicing gynecologists and gynecologists in training. Medical center pathology residents also use the book to understand the clinical relevance of pathology. It contains about 260 colored pictures and drawings.

Navy Rear Admiral Mark Heinrich recently took command of the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Va., the primary source for nearly 1.25 million repair parts and operating supply items supporting 1,300 major weapons systems. Heinrich holds a master's degree in business administration and a master's of science degree in petroleum management from KU.
