KU GREEN? The Environmental Stewardship Program saw a 6 percent jump in recyclables collected in FY '06, collecting more than 524 tons of material compared to more than 494 tons in FY '05. Most notable was a 22 percent increase in cardboard collection. But the program is about more than bottles, cans and cardboard. It also collects and recycles unused computers, monitors and other electronics. For more information about the program, including recycling tips, visit www2.ku.edu/~recycle/.
