CLOGS?: David Perlmutter's op ed titled "How Will the Clintons Harness the Political Force of the Blog" was published in the Oct. 2 edition of USA Today. Perlmutter, professor and associate dean in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, argues that how the Clintons play the blogs, or are played by them, is one of the most important political stories of the next few years.

KU HISTORY

The Kansan, the campus newspaper that eventually became The University Daily Kansan, made its debut Sept. 17, 1904. The first headline read "Great Mass Meeting," referring to the establishment of the paper. "Students of KU Demand a Semi-Weekly - Faculty in Too - Every One Pledged to Support it."
