Mortar Board presented Outstanding Educator Awards to five faculty members at the Nov. 7 basketball game. Mortar Board president Rob Williams, co-chair Matt Goble and Chancellor Robert Hemenway presented the awards. Recipients were, starting third from left, Jenny Noyce, lecturer in English; Parker Lessig, Frank S. Pinet Distinguished Teaching Professor; Bob Frederick, chair and associate professor of health, sport and exercise sciences; Kathleen McCluskey-Fawcett, senior vice provost and professor of clinical child psychology; and Ann Eversole, assistant vice provost for Student Success.

Frank Baron, director of the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies, visits with Elisabeth Niggemann, director of Germany's national library, on the balcony of the Kade Center. Niggemann toured the Kade Center and visited with KU Information Services librarians to explore German exile literature, which is relevant to her library's mission. Her position is equivalent to the librarian of congress.
