Kate Meyer

Current title: Assistant to the curator, Spencer Museum of Art.

What that means: Meyer oversees visitors to the print study area, cataloguing new acquisitions to the Department of Prints and Drawings, corresponding with the varied constituencies of the department, assisting with planning and research for department exhibitions, and various duties related to the collection database.

Notable: Meyer developed "Walk-Ins Welcome Fridays," a program in which anyone who wishes can utilize the museum's collections without prior appointment on Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and puts in extra time for it.

Carol Gonce University Support Staff

Carol Gonce

Current title: Administrative associate, mechanical engineering department.

What that means: Gonce is responsible for managing the office, supervising student hourly employees, maintaining student and departmental records, and assisting faculty and students. She also manages student admissions, student records, graduate student plans of study, accreditation records, tenure documents, the alumni newsletter, room reservations and more.

Notable: Gonce is credited with making the department a successful one. Within the past year, she has reorganized the office and created filing systems that are more accessible and understandable for all.
