PARK AND RIDE NATIONWIDE: KU's new Park and Ride Express service was featured in the June issue of Mass Transit. Peg Livingood, project manager with Design and Construction Management, was quoted speaking about the benefits of the Opus buses that will operate in the system. "The student body, faculty and staff have had positive reactions to the Opus," she said. "We are all looking forward to having these buses arrive on campus."

BUCKING THE STEREOTYPE: Rebecca Wagner, information specialist in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was quoted in a Kansas City Star article about disspelling the stereotypes of science fiction convention goers.

"Yea, I'm a hardcore nerd," Wagner said.

"But she's a different kind of nerd. Brainy, pretty and ironic, Wagner blows away the stereotype... that once defined this convention," the article says.
